1. Anyone and everyone can read your blog. True, but let's face it. Once you've had kids, privacy goes right out the window (starting with that first doctor's visit if you know what i mean). So anyone who wants to read about my crazy life is welcome... pull up a chair and stay a while. I might even have enough Prozac for the both of us (yes, Mom, only joking).
2. Bloggers tend to only write about the good stuff, making their lives seem perfect. I've seen this first hand. But as for me, you will get nothing but reality here. In fact, i am hoping to vent on a regular basis about life with kids (do i need to feed them again?), a new puppy (i've only picked up poo off my carpet twice today - yay!), a husband (are you seriously snowboarding AGAIN this Saturday), getting older (BOTOX is sounding good about now), and just life in general. C'mon people, let's get REAL!
3. Nobody will want to read your blog. Okay, this one is definitely true and has the chance of taking a toll on your self-esteem. But did you hear the story of the lady who put up for auction on ebay a pack of pokemon cards with a starting bid of 99 cents. She attached a story of how she came to own those pokemon cards. Long story short, she was grocery shopping with her 6 kids and one of the kids snuck them in the cart - all moms should read this posting (go to mom2my6pack.blogspot.com/2007/08/adventures-in-grocery-shopping). Anyway, the auction got thousands of hits and her cards ended up selling for like $140. She now has a huge following and is considering writing a book. Moral of the story: we all have a story to tell and you never know who might need to hear what you've written! If nothing else, you might get a good laugh and that is much better than crying!
So, if you can get past these issues, then i guess i can too. Welcome aboard!!!

woo-hoo, I am so excited to have another blog to add to my addiction.
Yeah, finally!!! Now I won't be the only one posting pictures of your cute kids! Way to go!
I am so excited you are blogging. Now I can feel like I am not the only one who may end up in a mental institution before 5pm. (You know what I mean) Misery loves company.
Aly-
I am so excited for you. Careful, the blogging nazis get upset if you don't update frequently. Good luck.
O.k. Aly- we are waiting for some pictures now. You can't just start a blog and not update. Its against the rules. I am anxiously awaiting a new post, so get on it. I'll be checking while in the hospital. We get wireless internet access in our rooms. No excuses. 4 kids does not excuse a daily update. Are you already regretting this blogging idea. :)
